GOAL! the Dream Begins

Well, The world cup is coming very soon, exactly in 72 days 5 hours and 5 minutes ^_^...cant wait! ... to start warming up the fever for futbol (soccer) i will inaugurate my "Download posts" with a futbol related movie.

Even though this film was not a critically acclaimed cinematic masterpiece by any stretch I could not stop smiling, screaming or contain my excitement the whole time I was watching it. Dont think i am crazy, there is always a reason and the triggers of this behavior were a couple of things:

First one, I love soccer!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ If I could do anything for the rest of my days, even without getting paid, that would be playing soccer. I dream of playing soccer with my best friends standing at my side on the greatest stadiums with thousands of crazy fans screaming and chanting around me. And in the film, as Santiago slowly comes to realize his dream, my dream is realized through him (don't blame me, i'm a wannabe professional player). And it feels incredible.

Second, Santiago Muñez is a poor Mexican immigrant in East Los Angeles who goes from rags to riches as he follows his dream, and im Mexican too :), not an immigrant though but i truly admire and respect all those men and women who go and risk it all just to get better opportunities for them and their families...anyways im getting off the topic :P .... I just loved this film which is the first film of a trilogy. I hope you enjoy it as much as i did, and yes i will be uploading the entire trilogy before June 11th ( the start of the World Cup in South Africa)

An not so expensive but Beautiful picture.

This beautiful picture cost only $750 dollars and it is very particular because it was taken in a very special way. You guys will think it sounds crazy but it was taken from a helium balloon!.

The author ( a brithis man named Robert Harrison) attached his digital camera to a balloon, the digital camera was set-up in a way it was taking pictures every 5 minutes until it reached 22 miles (around 35 kilometers) above the surface of the Earth. After, it came down on a parachute.

The problem now was to find the camera!!! but no, the camera had a GPS attached to it so the guy could find it without problem ( unless it fell down in the middle of the ocean ^_^ ), but luckily it didn't.

I just wanted to share this story because i find it really cool, plus the picture is just beautiful. :)

HP Slate

And the Apple iPad has officially a competitor and its called "HP Slate", It will be on the market next June 2010, and it will cost approximately $500 dollars.

We have to wait for official information, but rumors say that i will have an Atom processor, USB ports, memory card slots and a webcam. Also it will support Flash ( the iPad does not support it) and the best thing is that it will come with Windows 7 OS ( I am still wondering how fast windows 7 can run on an Atom processor ). Anyways, here is a small video so you can check the design of this new gadget more in detail.
